rain pavilion donor leaf - The Hawaii Nature Center

The Hawaii Nature Center is very pleased to announce construction is underway of the Rain Pavilion on Oahu!

The Rain Pavilion will be situated across from our main covered educational facility in Makiki. The design is a contemporary, open-walled structure reminiscent of a traditional Hawaiian Hale. It will blend beautifully with the surrounding Makiki stream and forest, and will allow us to provide additional educational programs and activities protected from the midday sun and Mauka showers.

Once completed, the Hawaii Nature Center will be able to serve up to 10,000 more children each year through its popular school programs, field trips and SNAP (Sensational Nature Adventure Program). A grand opening of the new structure is planned for early 2013.

If you would like to support the Hawaii Nature Center, purchase a Small, Medium, Large or Extra Large Leaf by filling out our Donor Leaf Order Form. Your specially designed Leaf will be personalized and displayed at the Rain Pavilion.
