New for 2020, Hawai‘i Nature Center in Wailuku offers Outdoor EDventure Days – a weekday program for Maui students when school campuses are closed. Incorporating State of Hawaii Next Generation Science Standards, this curriculum explores a broad range of topics led by environmental educators including: climate change, the ahupua‘a ecosystem, native species, and cycles of nature. In order to deliver the safest program possible, this is offered as a two-day program within the same week.
More than 20 Maui schools have partnered with HNC for extended learning in environmental education.
