Outdoor EDventure Days on O‘ahu

2131 Makiki Heights Drive, Honolulu | Call: 808.955.0100 x126 | Email: oed@hawaiinaturecenter.org

Get ready for nature encounters, project-based team work, hands-on crafts, meadow exploration, wildlife discovery, instructional discussion and fresh-air exercise such as hiking and stream fishing.

New for Fall 2020, Hawai‘i Nature Center offers Outdoor EDventure Days in Makiki Valley – a weekday program for O‘ahu students when school campuses are closed. Incorporating the State of Hawaii Next Generation Science Standards, this curriculum explores a broad range of topics led by environmental educators including: climate change, the ahupua‘a ecosystem, native species, and cycles of nature. In order to deliver the safest program possible, this is only offered as a two-day program within the same week.

More than 100 O‘ahu schools have partnered with HNC for field trips in environmental education.
