January 2024 – Enroll now for Hawai‘i Nature Center’s week-long, all-day Spring intersession program in Makiki Valley from March 18 to 22. Our professional CPR and First Aid certified Environmental Educators will lead your child in a variety of nature activities, including forest hikes, stream investigations, nature crafts, insect safaris, beach explorations, off-site field trips, and more!
The theme for the week will be “Native Wings.” If you’re ready for a chirping good time, join us this spring for our bird-themed Nature Adventure Camp. Each day we will learn a little about a different native bird species- from the majestic pueo to brightly colored honeycreepers. We will find out why birds sing, participate in our own version of bird karaoke, problem-solve like crows, pilot paper bird-planes and look for feathered friends in the forests of Makiki valley.
