Project Description
October 2018 – Curriculum Specialist Jamie Nakama received the “Outstanding Service to EE by an Individual” at the Local Level from the North American Association of Environmental Educators (NAAEE). She was selected from a highly competitive field of professional educators.
The award was presented at the Oct. 13 Spokane, Washington conference, attended by hundreds of leaders in environmental education from around the world.
She has been part of our ʻohana for nearly 20 years and her dedicated service to the mentorship and training of our environmental educators has influenced so many young minds. More than 20,000 students each year have benefited from HNC programs under the guidance of Jamie’s leadership.
