Project Description
July 2023 – Our Fall 2023 Homeschool Science Series is now open for enrollment. The 14-week Environmental Science Class Series features a 6-hour class every Wednesday, each building upon the last to create a cumulative, in-depth understanding and appreciation of the natural world. Held at our campus in Makiki rainforest, the program teaches about Hawaiian ecosystems, native flora and fauna, climate change and more.
HIGHLIGHTS
Get ready to learn about what grows in Hawai‘i from kalo to koa and even Maui’s majestic Silversword. Students will study the fascinating lives of the endemic Moorhen, ‘I‘iwi, wolf spiders and other great species of our islands. Wetlands, forests, meadows, caves, streams and the coast will serve as their classroom. By the end of the course, they will become protectors of the planet with an understanding of climate change and sustainability. This program employs math, science, the arts and writing.
