April 2024 – Hawai’i Nature Center welcomed families for a “Night in Nature” on March 16. More than 40 children and families gathered for a night hike exploration through Makiki rainforest and a study of the stars with Hawai’i’s largest mobile telescope. The evening included a campfire and dinner.
The center has been hosting environmental educational experiences for children for more than 40 years. Its summer camp program that offers week-long explorations of the environment opens for enrollment this coming Tuesday. The center is also hiring educators for its summer program.
