Project Description
May 2020 – Hawai`i Nature Center has launched HI Nature, an online video series for children that delivers environmental education direct to your living room. In April, we asked supporters to fund a pilot and the first episode was launched. Our series includes exploring the homes of wildlife that live in meadows, streams and forests of Hawai`i.

For nearly 40 years, we’ve educated more than 1 million keiki about nature and offer creative ways to bring them closer to it. Our goal has always been to remove barriers to accessing quality environmental education and the COVID-19 pandemic and government order requiring home quarantine have inspired us to innovate. If you’ve enjoyed these episodes, consider a donation to support our work.
The Centers on Maui and O`ahu plan to hold their summer series of in-person camps. Check out our Facebook and Instagram for the announcement. June 2020 enrollment is open and reservations are being taken and if canceled, parents will be refunded in full.
