Project Description
November 2022 – Maui Mayor Michael Victorino and HNC Executive Director Todd Cullison announced the transfer of ownership of our Maui parcel in ʻĪao Valley to the County of Maui. We will continue to operate programs at this site and are eagerly planning for Winter Nature Adventure Camp at ʻĪao Valley during winter intercession, which is open for registration.
This sale and partnership with the County will move us closer to our vision of increasing accessibility to our programs. We aim to focus our resources on bringing environmental education closer to schools and communities islandwide. We look forward to continuing to utilize the ʻĪao Valley location as our center, as well as other sites as learning destinations.
Our commitment to Maui’s children has never been stronger. We look forward to serving generations to come and working side-by-side with Maui’s teachers, families and keiki to instill the values of environmental stewardship.
