Week-long Nature Adventure Camps on Maui
Our week-long Nature Adventure Camp for keiki, who are 6 to 11 years-old, will be held during the next school break. Kids can go tech-free and high touch in nature in this five-day program held from 8 am to 3 pm. Our program is led by expert environmental educators who specialize in outdoor exploration with hands-on education.
These offerings sell out fast. We keep our student groups small to ensure the highest quality of care and education. We provide 1 teacher for every 12 students to ensure that every child gets the best experience possible.

June 7th – 10th: Our Blue Planet | Closed Friday, June 11th – King Kamehameha Day – HNC closed, no program
Fun fact: our planet is more than 70% water! Water can be found in our salty oceans, in the ground trapped within rocks, and even in the clouds that fill the sky. No wonder Earth is often referred to as “The Blue Planet!” Campers will be diving into a week of water-related discoveries, crafts, games, and outdoor adventures. We will be soaking up the fun as we explore nature and learn about how plants and animals (including humans!) depend on our planet’s water for survival.
June 14th – 18th: Journey Through Pollination
Something is happening all around that we can’t live without, yet we hardly know it’s there…what could it be? Pollination! We’ll go in search of pollinators in meadows, waterways, and gardens near and far to learn how plants and humans depend on them for survival. We’ll even get to explore the inner workings of a beehive while discovering the many gifts that bees provide! Throughout the week, we will investigate the issues that pollinators are facing and learn what we can do to help.
June 21st – 25th: Healthy Habitats
Whether it’s a grove of trees, a mountain cave, or the ocean floor, habitats provide living things (including people!) with all they need to survive. Join us for a week of exploring the special places where animals and plants make their homes. Our adventures begin in ‘Īao Valley where we’ll discover the different plants and animals that live in forest, meadow, and freshwater habitats. We will also discuss costal and wetland environments and the special species that call these spaces their home. Each day, we’ll play nature games, create habitat crafts, and engage in habitat clean-ups to help keep these natural homes healthy and in balance. Students will even make their own terrariums (mini habitats) to take home – a reminder of how the living and non-living things within a habitat work together to stay in balance.
June 28th – July 2nd: Incredible Insects
Join us for an insecteresting week of exploring one of the most successful and diverse groups of animals on the planet! From meadow to forest, and from marsh to stream, our adventures will take us in search of these six-legged friends and their arthropod relatives. Every day we’ll discover what makes these tiny creatures so incredible and why they are so incredibly important to a healthy planet.
July 6th – 9th: Nurturing Our Natives | Closed Monday, July 5th – Independence Day (Obeserved) – HNC closed, no program
Hawaii sits in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The closest land mass to the island chain is over 2,200 miles away! And yet…thousands of plant and animal species survived the long and difficult journey and eventually made Hawaii their home. Please join us for a week of Nature Adventure Camp as we set out on a quest to learn more about and discover the true treasures of our islands.
Monday through Friday from 8 am to 3 pm
