Project Description
June 2025 – Hawai‘i Nature Center invites keiki ages 6 to 11 to dive into a dynamic learning adventure through our 2025 Fall Homeschool Science Series. Designed to inspire environmental awareness and curiosity, this all-day weekly program takes students from the trails of Makiki Valley to the cultural and ecological connections found across Oceania.
Held every Wednesday from September 3 to December 10, the sessions are filled with hands-on, screen-free learning that integrates art, writing, math and teamwork. Students will study bird migration, marine life and ancient ocean navigation while developing a deeper understanding of sustainability and the interconnectedness of land, ocean and people.
Each lesson is thoughtfully crafted to build real-world connections to climate change and mālama honua—our shared responsibility to care for the Earth.
Hosted at our Makiki campus with outdoor field studies across O’ahu, the series includes 14 immersive classes. Tuition is $1,200 for the full program.
Join us this fall and empower your keiki to become thoughtful stewards of our island home.
