Project Description
July 2019 – It is true that the best view comes after the hardest climb. In just three weeks, he did it.
Hawai‘i Nature Center’s Vice President Eric Wright, Par Hawaii’s Senior Vice President and nature enthusiast, ascended North America’s highest mountain peak of Denali in Alaska. The June expedition took three weeks to reach the third most isolated peak on earth at more than 20,000 feet above sea level.
Eric’s other ascents have included 14,000-foot Mount Rainier, Mount Shuksan, and several peaks in Colorado.
The Kailua resident and father of three children raised more than $10,000 in donations from friends and family for Hawai‘i Nature Center’s mission to connect children and families to the wonders of nature.
