January 2026 – Looking for an engaging, educational and screen-free activity for your keiki this spring break? Hawai‘i Nature Center’s Spring Nature Adventure Camps on Oʻahu and Maui provide hands-on, outdoor learning experiences that blend science, culture, play and discovery. Our camps foster curiosity, confidence and environmental stewardship, helping young learners connect with Hawai‘i’s unique ecosystems while having fun in nature.

Oʻahu Spring Nature Camp: Deep Discoveries & Cosmic Connections

Week 1 Deep Discoveries: March 16–20 | 5-day program ($420 members | $495 general public)
Dive into the ocean’s twilight zone and uncover the mysteries of deep-sea habitats and creatures. Through interactive STEM activities, crafts and outdoor exploration, keiki will learn about the vital role these ecosystems play and how to protect Hawai‘i’s marine life. This week emphasizes ocean ecology, environmental education and hands-on discovery.

Week 2 Cosmic Connections: 4-day program – closed Thursday, March 26 – Prince Kūhiō Day ($335 members | $410 general public)
Blast off into the stars and explore the fascinating links between outer space and life on Earth. Kids will discover how nocturnal animals navigate by the night sky, how the moon shapes tides and time, and why Hawai‘i is a uniquely special place for astronomy and nature exploration. Activities include outdoor games, stargazing and guided environmental learning experiences.
