Project Description
October 2025 – Hawai‘i Nature Center is rolling out a fresh season of Winter Nature Adventure Camps and enrollment is now open. These four day programs invite keiki ages 6 to 11 to step outside and explore the wonders of the islands during the holiday school break. With a mix of outdoor discovery, hands on science and lessons in caring for our environment, each camp offers a lively way to learn while having fun.
On Oʻahu campers can choose from two themed weeks. Islands to Icecaps takes participants on a journey from local shores to polar regions as they uncover how arctic ecosystems connect to Hawai‘i. From migratory wildlife to climate patterns this week invites curious minds to dive into global science. Solutions and Resolutions welcomes the new year with playful activities and eco friendly crafts that inspire keiki to make simple promises for a greener 2026.
Maui’s camp theme Ua to Kai Following the Wai guides keiki along the path of water from mountaintop rain to sparkling sea. Through outdoor experiments, field trips and nature games campers gain a deeper understanding of freshwater systems and why they matter to life on the island.
Winter Nature Adventure Camps nurture curiosity through place based learning. With each day blending science and aloha ʻāina campers build lasting connections to the world around them. Space is limited and camps will break on December 25 and January 2. To register or learn more visit HawaiiNatureCenter.org.
Member rates are $335 on Oʻahu and $280 on Maui. General rates are $410 on Oʻahu and $355 on Maui.
