Project Info
Project Description
I am originally from a small town up in the mountains of Prescott, Arizona. From the time I was a young girl, I was always inspired by the beauty of nature and felt the urge to connect with it and its creatures. I knew I needed to pursue a career involving the environment so I traveled across the ocean to attend University at Hawai‘i Pacific University.
I am still pursuing my environmental studies degree as an undergraduate, but my time at HPU has allowed me to be involved with many community and research projects. Currently, I’m working on bioremediation in O‘ahu’s Kawainui marshlands, with past projects including fish pond water quality assessment and invasive species management.
My diverse background enhances my understanding of Hawaiian ecology and culture, benefiting my role at Hawai‘i Nature Center.
