Project Description
Curriculum Coordinator
Growing up spending time outdoors in New York, hiking and cleaning up beaches with my family and in environmental education programs fostered my love for the environment. Classes and various environmental education internships throughout high school and college made me passionate about connecting others with nature.
After receiving a BA in Environmental Studies in 2022, I moved to O‘ahu to teach 7th grade English Language Arts at Wai‘anae Intermediate School for two years through Teach For America. Since then, I have volunteered with Mālama i nā honu, become a (Re)Learning Educator at Sustainable Coastlines Hawai‘i and spent a year as a Kupu Environmental Education Leader partnered with Hawai‘i Technology Academy. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, snorkeling, taking photographs, reading, and trying new foods.
I am thrilled to combine my enthusiasm for the natural world and experiences as an educator to help foster love, appreciation, and environmental stewardship for students at the Hawai‘i Nature Center.
