Project Description
I’m an Environmental Educator who has been lucky to weave a path through the world of sustainability with unique twists and turns. It all started in Southern California. My journey took root during a transformative stint at Outdoor Science School in fifth grade, where I first glimpsed the profound impact of Environmental Education. I’m a proud graduate of Cal Poly Humboldt’s Bachelor’s of Science Environmental Education program where I also received Minors in Oceanography and Business. I headed further north to start my career as an Environmental Educator in Seattle, I gradually climbed the ladder to become a Co-Director, steering projects that bridged people and the planet.
Across oceans, I embraced the role of a Marine Science Officer in Madagascar while obtaining my SCUBA Dive Masters and delving into coral conservation research. Back in California, I crafted programs promoting sustainability and zero waste living through Adult Education Workshops funded by City and County contracts. Beyond work, you’ll find me exploring the ocean through freediving, creating upcycled plastic and silver jewelry, and expanding my perspective through world travel. I truly believe Environmental Education is like planting seeds for a greener future, and I’m deeply passionate about nurturing the next crop of Earth’s stewards.
