Project Description
As a child, I lived on O‘ahu while dad served as a Linguistic professor at University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa but eventually relocated to the Virginia/D.C. Metro area. I found my way back to Hawai‘i while serving in the U.S. Coast Guard as a helicopter rescue swimmer. My career has included working for a variety of organizations and positions including Coca-Cola and the position of Sr. Planning Analyst.
After attending Humboldt State University, I earned my BA in Anthropology from University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. My education reinforced my belief in the interconnectedness of people and our planet. I find great satisfaction in contributing to the Hawai‘i Nature Center’s mission of educating children and the community about Hawai‘i’s unique natural and cultural resources.
I enjoy spending time with my wife, Virginia, and love to try new restaurants, swim and surf, play guitar and travel.
