Project Description
Born and raised on O’ahu, I am a graduate of Mid-Pacific Institute and Menlo College with a BA in Mass Communications. My passion for the non-profit sector began when I was part of the opening team at 15 Craigside Senior Living Community. There I discovered working closely with seniors to improve their health and wellness as the Fitness and Programs coordinator brought me great fulfillment. I then took my passion to Central Union Church where I managed the Marketing and Communications Department, building connections within the community and sharing the works of the Church.
I believe that one should be intentional about how one spends their professional time, so mosquitoes and all, I discovered that working for an organization that supports the growth of our youngest environmental stewards, was a simple choice. The mission and values of the Hawai‘i Nature Center directly align with my love of the Islands and the preservation needed for my own children.
When not at work, I am a busy dad and husband. In my free time, I try to squeeze in exercise, surfing and relaxing at home with the dog.
